We are pleased to announce that Agricultural Class Q Prior Approval has been granted for 2 agricultural barns to be converted into 3 residential dwellings near Dorking, Surrey.
Barn 1 is currently a one-and-a-half storey concrete framed Atcost barn with block infills and Barn 2 is a single storey brick barn. Permission for the barn conversion has been granted by Mole Valley District Council under Agricultural Permitted Development for the change of use and will not increase the size of the existing buildings.
In order to convert the barns into residential dwellings new windows, rooflights and door openings will be introduced to bring daylight and ventilation into the buildings. They will be insulated internally, with the existing roof coverings being replaced with fibre cement slate tiles and the concrete framed barn clad with weatherboarding to give a more traditional barn aesthetic to meet our client’s brief.
