Two New Team Members at Nye Saunders

Nye Saunders are very pleased to welcome two new part 1 Architectural Assistants who we are sure will be fantastic additions to the team.

Antonios came to the UK from Cyprus to pursue his architectural career in 2019, studying at the University of Portsmouth. He graduated with a first-class degree and was awarded the Hays prize for best critical writing in his cohort for his dissertation. Antonios focused his research on the role of architecture as an incubator of reconciliation in environments of conflict, within his home, Cyprus.

Antonios is keen to learn as much as possible in his year with Nye Saunders observing and participating in real-world architecture before continuing his journey to becoming an RIBA qualified Architect.

In his spare time Antonios loves to cook and experiment with different cuisines and ingredients to invent new dishes. More than anything else Antonios loves to be creative and innovative, and has a passion for sculpture making and art.

Marilena has recently graduated with a Second Class (Upper Division) degree also from the University of Portsmouth where she has worked on several projects that embody sustainability, such as her most recent open market mixed-use building. She moved from her native Greece three years ago and is eager to learn and gain experience from her time with Nye Saunders and ultimately qualify as an RIBA Architect in the UK.

Marilena has been a big fan of reading from a young age, and in her free time she likes reading fiction with a particular love for classics. She also enjoys landscape and urban photography for which she developed a passion during her time in university.
