We are delighted with the finished result of Phase 2 of the works on this country house in the Surrey Hills near Dorking.
The most recent phase including extending and remodelling the kitchen, to create a generous kitchen/dining area suitable for a country house. We also created a walk in pantry, boot-room and utility area including adding a new service door and back porch in cast metal.
The works were carried out by Nicholls Countryside Construction with the kitchen supplied by Stephen Anthony Design and interiors designed by Vicky Parkinson Design.
We always enjoy working with long standing clients to develop their properties over time as their requirements change. Our original instruction on this property involved creating a grand entrance and staircase befitting of a large country house, as front of the house was a mismatch of differing styles our brief was to pull this together into a coherent whole. A two storey extension was added, complete with stone portico to provide the formal entrance. Internally, a double height space was carved out of the centre of the house to create a grand stair hall.
