Our office Manager, Denise Fanning has recently taken part in the 7km Surrey Memory Walk at Painshill, and together with the donation from Nye Saunders she has raised an impressive £295 for the Alzheimer's Society charity.
Denise has a very personal reason for completed the walk as her mum has been suffering with dementia for over 20 years. She has been planning to enter this walk for a couple of years but has previously always put it off as was worried that her own health issues would stop her from completing it. However, her training has all been worth it as she crossed the finishing line in style.
Denise is very aware that her struggle with the walk is insignificant compared to the struggles her mum has faced and wanted to take this personal challenge in order to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society to help them continue their research into dementia awareness, care, cause, cure and prevention.
