MEET THE TEAM

Say Hi to Adam Hieke 👋Adam is a Director of Nye Saunders Ltd, Chartered Architects, having worked for the company since being a University student, working his way through qualification as an Architect and becoming a Director in 2017.

Having a deep understanding, vast experience and expertise of historic buildings, Adam is the company’s Conservation specialist, appearing on the register of Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC).

Adam is one of the firm’s Inspecting Architects and looks after a large number of Churches and Ecclesiastical buildings in the Guilford Diocese and beyond, many being Listed Buildings.  He is a member of The Association of Ecclesiastical Surveyors & Architects and has sat for 10 years as a member of the Guildford Diocesan Advisory Committee, a statutory body which advises parishes, archdeacons and the Chancellor on matters relating to the care, conservation and development of Church buildings, churchyards and their contents.

In addition to his work with historic buildings, Adam also has a depth of experience in a variety of traditional and contemporary residential projects and has a deep appreciation for the beauty and craftsmanship of the Arts and Crafts movement and a desire to create energy-efficient builds that minimise their impact on the environment.

When not working or spending time with his family, Adam enjoys running, walking his dog Hazel, and discovering new places to visit – both in the UK and abroad.
