This was the approach taken with a local private school client situated in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As the school population grew, so did its need for more accommodation and the estate had developed in a piecemeal fashion around the original grand Arts & Crafts style house at its centre.
When new space was again required, Nye Saunders undertook a planning appraisal which considered all available options in the context of a master plan. We advised our clients to utilise their Permitted Development rights, achieving the desired result without the need for a planning application.
