Nye Saunders as inspecting architects had identified the need for shingling repairs, and were appointed by the PCC to develop a specification for spire re-shingling, seeking tenders and overseeing the repairs.

The works were part funded by a an English Heritage HLF grant, requiring suitable accreditation of the architect which Nye Saunders as a practice were able to offer.

 

Consents were negotiated, specifications of work prepared, tenders sought and the work overseen under a JCT Minor Works building contract. The works involved spire re-shingling, timber repairs and associated roof repairs.
