REFURBISHMENT

Rose & Crown Pub, Godalming

The Rose and Crown Pub is a listed Tudor framed building with Georgian additions at the front.  The pub’s charming rear garden was marred by a poor quality flat roof toilet block.  The owners wanted the existing toilet block removed in order to open up the garden and expose the attractive timber frame.  We obtained planning permission to demolish the toilet block and relocate the toilets into what has previously been a fire escape and flat roof garage.  By remodelling the garage and constructing a new roof with reclaimed tiles, we were able to link this block back into the main building.  The planning consent allowed for further internal alterations and the creation of a new modern bar area.  This project was completed by Deeks and Steere and the pub was able to remain open to customers during the course of the works.
