Michael Kaczmarczyk

PART II ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT

Michael moved to the UK after his second year of studying architecture at Warsaw University. He planned to move back after a year but stayed! He is currently completing his studies at Oxford Brookes University and has worked as a project coordinator at other architectural practices in the South East.

Having grown up in a technical environment – his father was an engineer – Michael chose to study architecture because of his fascination with buildings, in particular the University Library in Warsaw and how it connected with the surrounding landscape. He was also deeply inspired by the otherworldly work of Imre Makovecz.

Michael’s appreciation of architecture has found a welcome home at Nye Saunders who he describes as his second family. He loves the prospect of creating a building that fully integrates with the environment and surrounding landscape.

Michael enjoys spending his free time outdoors. He’s an accomplished gardener, but if he’s not tending his plants on his allotment, he’s probably out and about experiencing new music and art.
