Nye Saunders were known to Guildford Borough Council for their conservation work and were approached in 2014 to assist with carrying out a survey to establish a repairs programme for high level stone repairs, repointing and render repairs.

 

Scheduled ancient monument consent was negotiated and obtained from Historic England and approval was also obtained from the Council’s own conservation team.

 

Specifications of work were prepared, tenders sought and the work overseen under a JCT Minor Works building contract.
