Nye saunders worked with engineers Hockley & Dawson who had worked on first phase repairs to the main castle ruin.

 

In 2014 a scheduled ancient monument consent was negotiated, specifications of work prepared, tenders sought and the work overseen under a JCT Minor Works building contract.

 

The works involved rebuilding of a former garden terrace, construction of a retaining wall and building up of a matching stone wall with iron stone galleting.
